South Africa – Namibia Tour

All prices in Canadian dollars.

What is Included:

The tour price includes the one way rental of a BMW F650GS/2 (upgrades are available) from Cape Town to Windhoek with unlimited kilometers and third party liability insurance; comprehensive motorcycle insurance with a deductible that varies with the model of motorcycle; accommodation based on double occupancy unless the single supplement is paid; hotel taxes; 13 breakfasts; 12 dinners; group transfers to the hotel on arrival and group transfers to the airport on the final day of the tour; one guide with motorcycle, one guide with support vehicle and trailer; toll fees for Chapman’s Peak drive; transport of one large article of luggage on the support vehicle; guided tour of Monkey Town; two hour quad rental in Swakopmund, entry fees into game parks and nature reserves; Sossusvlei guided tour in Namib-Naukluft Park; sunset horse tour at Desert Homestead; laundry service at Hotel Garni Adler in Swakopmund; loan of a SIM card for a local South Africa phone number; loan of a SIM card for a local Namibia phone number; administrative costs involved with entering Namibia at Onseepkans; a comprehensive pre-tour package that includes road maps of South Africa and Namibia as well as daily maps and routing; guided tour and permits for Kolmanskop ghost town.

What is Excluded:

Any item not listed in the above paragraph as What is Included is excluded. An incomplete list of excluded item includes the following: all flights; visa costs; alcohol; souvenirs and items of a personal nature; fuel for the motorcycle; mandatory health insurance with medical evacuation; individual transfers; gratuities; credit card deposit for the motorcycle; lunches; costs associated with the loaned SIM cards and other communication charges; medical costs beyond those of first aid including costs incurred to third parties; trip insurance; cancellation insurance.

Group Size:

The minimum size for this tour is 8 riders. The maximum is 10 riders and two non-riding passengers in the support vehicle. Should the minimum number of passengers not be met, Renedian will offer one of the following options: modify the services of the original program to accommodate a smaller group or offer an alternative program. Should no alternative be suitable, Renedian will offer a full refund of all monies received and this will constitute full settlement. Renedian are not responsible for any expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled trips, such as airline tickets.

Itineraries:

Accommodations are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Renedian’s control. Every effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.

Prices:

Tour price is $5900. Although unlikely, Renedian reserves the right to increase program prices to cover increased costs, tariffs and taxes received after prices are published, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.

Baggage:

Program prices include the handling of two pieces of baggage per person.

Registration and Payment Schedule:

A deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. If your reservation is made within 60 days of departure, the entire cost of the trip must be paid at the time of the request in order to secure confirmation.

Cancellation Charges:

Written cancellations received by Renedian 90 days or more prior to departure will be subject to a $250 per person cancellation fee; 89-60 days, will be subject to $500; 59-30 days will be 50% of tour price and 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of tour price.

Photography:

Renedian reserves the right to take photographs during the tour and to use them for promotional purposes. By booking a tour with Renedian, clients agree to allow their images to be used in such photographs. Clients who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves to their guide at the start of the tour.

Limits on the Responsibility of Renedian Adventures Ltd:

Renedian Adventures Ltd, its employees, shareholders, officers, directors, successors, agents and assigns (collectively Renedian), does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip. It purchases transportation (by aircraft, coach, train, vessel, motorcycle or otherwise), hotel and other lodging accommodations, restaurant, ground handling and other services from various independent suppliers. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result Renedian is not liable for any negligent or willful act of any such person or entity or of any third person.

In addition and without limitation, Renedian is not responsible for any injury, financial or physical loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time. There are many inherent risks in adventure travel of the type involved here, which can lead to illness, injury, or even death. These risks are increased by the fact that these trips take place in remote locations, far from medical facilities. Passenger assumes all such risks associated with participating in this trip.

ANY PAYMENT TO RENEDIAN ADVENTURES LTD CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT HEREIN AND IN MORE SPECIFIC PRE-DEPARTURE PASSENGER DOCUMENTATION, INCLUDING THE PERSONAL INFORMATION FORM.
